The area of Provence, in the south-east of France, offers great possibilities for climbing, both single and multi-pitch.
Here we will find some of the most famous climbing areas in France, such as the Verdon Gorges and Les Calanques, both immersed in spectacular settings.
In the Verdon Gorges we will climb the dizzying walls that fall directly on the river, and taste excellent limestone. We will also enjoy the laid back atmosphere and the charm of the French villages.
The Calanques Massif extends about 20 kilometers over the Mediterranean Sea, from the east of Marseille and to the village of Cassis. Climbing here is a spectacular spectacle difficult to live elsewhere: water crossings, needles and walls that rush directly over the sea, climbing in an incomparable setting!
We will also find places not so well known but also very interesting for climbing, such as Aiglun, Orpiere, Buoux. Highly recommended climbing in Aiglun, with a high quality rock, on gray and red walls filled with water drops and crimps that will make us enjoy the most.

My partner and I spent two days climbing with Marc in Catalonia and loved the experience!Marc is a great guide: very knowledgable and patient. He drove us to another area to avoid the rain and stayed climbing till late, so we got the full day of multi-pitch climbing.He also recommended a lot of local routes and climbing areas with different features, so we will definitely come back!
Marc was an amazing guide! He lead me up my first multi-pitch climb in Montserrat. He made me feel very comfortable and safe the entire time. After completing the climb, he also helped me complete my first couple lead climbs.
We spent a day sport climbing with Marc in Montserrat and had a terrific time. In addition to guiding us to routes ideally matched to our skill level, he was also a super nice person to spend a day with. He clearly loves what he does and we can’t recommend him highly enough.
I highly recommend Marc as a climbing guide! My wife and I have booked a four day multi-pitch climbing and it was fantastic! Marc has chosen beautiful routes that fit our level, teached us how to build/clean stations, how to rappel and other climbing best practices. During climbing he was very positive and helpful, always double checked our gear, placed additional quickdraws in difficult route segments and he took a lot of great photos of our climbing. We had a bad weather forecast for all 4 days of our trip, but Marc managed to find warm and dry spots to climb in these conditions. I had a great day doing my first multi pitch with Marc in the Montserrat region. We went to a beautiful sunlit route featuring dihedral and cracks and to avoid the winter cold and during and after the climb he imparted a lot of multi pitch wisdom which i will take with me for future climbs. He was happy to discuss anchor systems and answers any doubts that I had right up until the sunset was more or less setting!
